A Message from the Director

Over the years, there’s something I’ve discovered: We make time and space for the things that are most important to us.

Accomplished musicians carve out time to practice. Elite athletes have regimented fitness routines. Farmers wake before the crack of dawn to care for their livestock and land.

We can make all the resolutions in the world, but if we don’t back up those aspirations with time, planning, energy, and focus, another year will fly by without any meaningful change.

The same is true for giving. That’s why the Proverbs advise us to honor God with our “firstfruits” (Proverbs 3:9–10) and again why Paul instructed the Corinthian church to set aside money for giving on the first day of the week (1 Corinthians 16:2).

Impactful giving doesn’t happen by accident. It requires planning and intentionality.

The fact that you’re reading a publication called “Generosity Today” indicates you probably already understand this. That’s why this issue is all about strategies for charitable planning, including helpful tips for going through your will and critical conversations with those you love.

If you or someone you know has questions about tax-wise giving and legacy planning, please give us a call.

We would be honored to help you develop and execute a strategy for the impactful giving of your God-entrusted resources.
