Money and Spirit: “Must-Read” Study on Faith and Finances Offers “Message of Hope for All”
Barnabas Foundation announces the upcoming release of Money and Spirit: Surrendering Our Finances to the Work of the Holy Spirit. An in-depth, biblically grounded study on the intersection of faith and finances, Money and Spirit is a practical resource for individuals, couples, and small groups.
Authors and ministry leaders alike have praised new-coming author Heather M. Day’s book about inviting the Holy Spirit to guide our financial decisions.
“Heather uses transparency, humor, and biblical insight to present a message of hope for all,” said Ken Blanchard, bestselling co-author of The New One Minute Manager and Simple Truths of Leadership.
“This book is a must-read for both individuals and groups seeking to align their financial practices with their faith,” said Rev. Scott Vander Ploeg, senior pastor of Sunlight Community Church and president of Multiply 222 Network.
“Money and Spirit is filled with practical insights and encouraging counsel noting that ‘surrender’ is not a sign of defeat, but a spiritual pathway to victory. So, grab a cup of coffee and a yellow marker, and enjoy this step-by-step journey to financial fulfillment!” said Dr. John C. Bowling, president emeritus of Olivet Nazarene University.
Christian Leadership Alliance’s Outcomes Magazine also named Money and Spirit one of its “must-read” new releases for Christian leaders.
Money and Spirit is not another promise of health and wealth or a guidebook full of strategies to reduce debt and achieve financial security. Instead, it’s an invitation to abide in Christ’s Spirit daily, surrendering one’s burdens, fears, and worries about money to Him.
Each chapter of the book includes an in-depth exploration of the fruit of the Spirit (as listed in Galatians 5), stories from real people who have experienced financial transformation, reflection questions and journaling space, and guided prayers. The book also includes small group discussion questions and access to online teaching videos.
Heather M. Day is an author and communication specialist with more than 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and nonprofit ministry. She’s spent the bulk of her career in the nonprofit arena, including in her current role as director of marketing for Barnabas Foundation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and an executive MBA from Olivet Nazarene University.
Money and Spirit will be released in bookstores on January 21, 2025, and is now available for pre-sale from all major online retailers.
